Over the past eleven years, I have been an active member of our OSMA, serving both on the medical student delegation and the resident fellow delegation. I had the honor of being involved in the executive leadership of both sections during my tenure, serving as Vice-Chair of the MSS and Chair of the RFS. I have also previously served on Council in 2015 representing the RFS. More recently, I have had the honor of representing District One as delegate, and I have also served on the reference committee several times, acting as Chair this past year.

In 2019, I had the opportunity to fulfill the role of alternate delegate to the OMSA at the Annual Meeting on behalf of the Columbus Medical Association. As the delegate from the CMA was out of town at that time, I participated as a voting member of the OSMA. This experience has inspired me to seek the position of delegate to the OMSA Annual Meeting on behalf of the Young Physician Section. I believe it is important for physicians to engage in policy discussions and advocate for those policies that best serve their patients and address public health concerns. I am pleased to learn that the OSMA is adding a Young Physician Section so that younger members are encouraged to participate in the work of the OSMA and may have a clearer voice at the Annual Meeting. I would be honored to represent my profession and other young physicians if I were chosen to be a delegate to the OSMA. Thank you for your consideration.

ELECTED! New Delegate:

Andrew Rudawsky

Cleveland

For those of you who do not know me, I am an emergency medicine physician in my third year of practice at the Cleveland Clinic. For the past ten years, I have had the privilege of contributing to organized medicine at the state and national levels. Through my tenure as a member of the Ohio Delegation to the American Medical Association, as chair of the national medical student delegation to the AMA-HOD, as a member of the RFS and MSS Governing Councils of the OSMA, and through my service on the OSMA-PAC board of directors, I've shown my deeply held interest in health policy, educating others, and serving as an advocate for change.
