New Section Approved
The OSMA House of Delegates approved the creation of the Young Physician Section (YPS) in 2018 and its organizers developed its governing structure which the OSMA Council approved in August. All OSMA member physicians who are under 40 or are within the first 8 years of practice after residency are members. The YPS gives younger physicians the opportunity to participate in YP specific education, networking and leadership opportunities. The YPS Steering Committee is at work to prepare programming and organize the first Section leadership elections to be held this fall. Watch for announcements seeking young physicians to serve as Section Chair, Member At-Large, Delegate, Alternate Delegate and OSMA Councilor.
